Originally I bought this thing on a lark. I needed something to stick on my recently completed 10.5″ AR Pistol. I saw this thing on Amazon and decided why not.

I’ve got about 200 rounds through the gun and under the optic so far.

The good news? The magnifier is still in one piece and it still positively locks in both positions. I haven’t drop tested it or anything like that, but it will come. The QD mount is also surprisingly solid.

Here comes the bad news. Its a 45.00 dollar optic. It’s heavy at 11.8 ounces, the glass has clear distortions that are especially noticeable beyond 100 yards.

If you absolutely have to have a magnifier and have 45-50 bucks, go ahead and get one. Personally I’m gonna upgrade both the Red Dot and the Magnifier to Vortex’s on the gun early next year.

Bottom Line: If it’s all you can afford? Get one. It’s better than nothing. But I would not recommend.
